Cormorant | Jeremy James Ceramics Latest News

Attenborough nature reserve, near Nottingham is a short drive from my studio. Just before Christmas I spent a couple of very cold days there drawing from the hides. Many birds were using the reserve to feed and rest in the harsh conditions, in particular cormorants. This is the first made from those drawings, it has been fired once ( a biscuit firing), and here it is coloured with oxides and a little glaze, ready for a second firing.
